meet Hannah

Meet Hannah, our Registered Play Therapist and Communications Specialist. Known as our office butterfly, she travels across the countryside, supporting clients at multiple sites within the Clare & Gilbert Valley, Goyder Region, and Yorke Peninsula. When she's not working with her wonderful clients, Hannah manages our website and social media, keeping everyone connected and informed.

why every step?

When Hannah was a teacher, she saw many children with emotional, social, and developmental needs entering her classroom. She had a strong desire to support these kiddos but soon realised that the school day simply didn’t allow enough time to provide the depth of care they needed. This realisation led her to transition into play therapy! Hannah loves the child-centred approach, where kids take the lead and explore their feelings, challenges, and strengths at their own pace. She finds it incredible to watch them grow, develop new skills, and build resilience in such an empowering, supportive space.

a little about hannah

Hannah lives in the Clare Valley with her husband, Paddy, and their fur-baby, Jaggar. In her spare time, you’ll find her at Pilates, working on their home renovation, or unwinding with a good book or a great TV series. She also loves cooking and eating out, always on the lookout for exciting new places to try!

favourite playroom resource

Hannah's favourite toys in the playroom are the medical, beauty, and detective kits because they allow children to be as creative and expressive as they would like. These kits also provide them with the space to play out any significant events that have occurred in their lives, such as medical trauma.

favourite childhood toy

As a child, Hannah loved her Barbie and Bratz dolls! She enjoyed dressing them up and creating role plays with them. She also loved playing shops and schools with her younger siblings.
